Laser Alignment

Our Laser Alignment equipment was purchased approximately 10 years ago, and has been in constant use since that time.

This precision equipment saves both time and costs and can be used in many different applications. The alignment of machinery includes diesel engines, gearboxes, tailshafts and electric motors.

The prevision obtained by this method greatly reduces the incidence of excessive wear and subsequent damage.

Resin Chocing

Following the alignment of machinery it is often necessary to re-arrange the chocks and this is normally accomplished by the utilisation of "Chocfast" resin chocking.

With this procedure we would manufacture the appropriate dams to facilitate the pouring of the resin, and drill and ream for the installation of fitted bolts. We have trained operatives who carry out this work to classification society standards.

Turbo Chargers

Holderness Ship Repairers has many years experience in the repair and overhauls of all types of turbo chargers, particularly those manufactured by browwn Boveri and Napier.

Work can vary between the renewal of bearing and seals in situ to the complete removal of the
machine in our workshops for major repairs such as rotor rebalancing.
